About

I am looking for a job as an in-person or remote UI/UX Designer.

Hello, I’m David. UI Designer, UX Researcher and eternal learner

Designer currently based in Lima, Peru, with more than 12 years of experience in engineering disciplines (UI design, UX research, quality assurance, software development and project management).

I like to analyze and find opportunities for improvement to different problems related to user experience. Through empathy and the generation of findings, I design minimalist and functional interfaces that make processes more intuitive.

I currently work as a freelance UX Designer offering my services in UI design, UX research and web page design in tools such as Webflow, Wix and Google Sites. I apply my knowledge to generate web and mobile design projects applying the steps of Design Thinking: empathize with the user, collect information, obtain findings, devise solutions, design user interfaces (wireframes, mockups, prototypes) and do usability tests.

I had the opportunity to work for almost 4 years as a quality assurance analyst for companies in the entertainment, banking, insurance, and construction sectors, among others. In this position I was able to do different types of tests (usability, A/B testing, acceptance, exploration) with end users, area managers, internal and external consultants.

Prior to this experience, I worked for more than 5 years as a developer in industries such as mining, education and commerce. In this position I was involved in the development of responsive web designs and interfaces, as well as conducting user tests and interviews to collect feedback and generate findings for improvements.

I did the international UX Designer certification taught by Google, where I was able to learn concepts related to interface design, user research, and use design methodologies such as Design Thinking.

I have a degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from the Telesup Private University in Peru.

I am looking for a job as an in-person or remote UI/UX Designer.
